Why has obesity in children and youth become a global problem?

Processed and industrialized food penetrated homes after WWII. In recent decades, economic needs have dictated that spouses go to work, not giving leisure to home cooking. The transition to processed and industrialized foods is a primary factor in obesity in children. Processed foods have a devastating effect on the mechanism of hunger-satiety, with hormonal disruption. (leptin and ghrelin) the impact of fatty liver in children also accompanies obesity.

The changes in the structure of the family unit (many divorces) and the penetration of mobile phones, even into the younger age, turned boycotts, ostracism, and incitement between children into something systematic. Stress and anxiety, combined with an inflammatory diet, are a tried and tested recipe for addictions and chronic illness. (usually at an older age)
