Are starches fattening food that causes obesity and diabetes?

Starches have a high glycemic index value (they quickly turn into sugar) and a reasonably high insulin index. However, the conclusion that they cause obesity and diabetes is fundamentally wrong. It is tough to feel satiety without starches; the main problem is their combination with meat and industrialized dairy products. Starches have been used as satisfying food throughout human history. Diabetes and obesity have intensified, especially in the last 50 years. Adding natural fat to any starch is recommended for improved digestion and intestinal lubrication.
