Should the use of hardened vegetable fat such as margarine be banned?

Margarine began in the 50s and 60s of the 20th century as a substitute for butter, which is saturated fat. But it turned out that margarine is not healthy! Solidifying liquid vegetable fat in heat destroys the oil and causes health damage. Margarine is a relatively cheap product and is consumed mainly by people with low incomes. I believe using margarine was not banned, mainly for economic reasons.
