I suffer from Crhon's disease for many years. Should I avoid soft drinks, including diet drinks?

A soft drink typically contains carbonated water, a sweetener, and natural or artificial flavoring. For patients with chronic gastrointestinal tract diseases, it is not recommended to consume soft drinks, including diet drinks.

*The sweetener may be sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, fruit juice, sugar substitutes (in the case of diet drinks), or some combination of these. Soft drinks may also contain caffeine, colorings, preservatives, and other ingredients.

The list of side effects from drinking soft drinks contains many severe diseases. Soft drinks look harmless, but their long-term effects are significant.

Drinking soft drinks in any form is not recommended. They also make us gain weight much faster than the same calories of natural beverages. Diet drinks are also very harmful as they contain artificial sweeteners that the liver and kidneys must neutralize.
