I was advised by a friend to take castor oil daily for a month for sharp weight loss. Can it harm my kidneys?

Castor oil has anti-inflammatory properties, contains essential vitamins, and is helpful for hair, skin, and pain relief. The castor seed contains a toxic protein called ricin. Castor oil is a powerful laxative, but it is not a recommended way to lose weight. Proper weight loss requires maintaining a natural, balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts!

The systematic intake of castor oil is not recommended for chronic kidney patients. Although castor oil is a natural laxative, it is not intended for long-term use. Chronic constipation often stems from a poor diet, low dietary fiber, and probiotic bacteria. These require a dietary change. Taking castor oil is not a substitute for a healthy diet. You will find details in the attached links.
