Are CKD patients advisable to use calculators that estimate the recommended daily calorie intake?

Using calculators to calculate calories does not give a complete picture of the types of foods that CKD patients are advised to eat. Patients with chronic kidney diseases must sharply reduce their consumption of animal proteins because ammonia (the breakdown product of proteins) puts a heavy burden on the liver and kidneys.

Calculators online give an estimate of the recommended daily caloric intake. It is essential to know that the numerical result is no more than a "Rule of thumb" because not all calories are the same. Significant differences exist in whether the food is processed, industrialized, or natural. The hours we eat have additional meaning. At night, the calories are worth more! Think of a relatively small deviation of 5% and translate it into weight; you will see that the gaps are enormous over time.
