I eat a lot of starches, so as not to irritate the intestinal walls, is this the recommended diet for Crohn's patients?

There is no reason to avoid starches altogether; they are very satisfying and an essential energy source. At the same time, it is important not to combine starches with meat or poultry. It is a very acidic combination for the intestines. The recommended diet for patients with chronic diseases of the digestive tract is based on cooked food, which is easier to digest. Still, the food must contain high dietary fiber combined with natural oils, fats, and probiotic bacteria.

Unfortunately, patients with chronic bowel disease often receive recommendations for diets that perpetuate and even exacerbate their condition. Without dietary fiber, fermented products (such as yogurt), and natural oils, the body cannot repair inflamed intestinal walls. I encourage you to read the attached articles and incorporate the recommended diet in the recommendations below.
