People with diabetes most often tend to consume artificial sweeteners. It is essential to know that they do not contain sugar, but are very harmful to health! It is best to stop drinking them altogether. The natural sugar in the fruit (in measured amounts) is not the cause of diabetes. Non-natural substances are perceived by the body as an "external invader" and are broken down by the liver, forcing it to work hard in the modern diet. They are calorie-free, but a lousy alternative because a healthy weight over time is associated with good health.
