For lunch, I often eat a delicious sausage with ketchup and mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomatoes. A naturopath advised me to stop with the sausage. Why?

Nutritional issues regarding COPD patients. Processed and industrialized foods are usually highly inflammatory and unsuitable for COPD patients. Industrialized processed food harms health, disrupts the hunger-and-satiety mechanism, and is more fattening than natural food with the same calories.

Sausage may be delicious, but it is usually one of the most processed foods. Ketchup and mayonnaise also sometimes undergo processing that impairs nutritional values. Although you did not mention that you drink Coca-Cola with the sausage (I guess), it is a considerable load of industrialized and processed foods unsuitable for older people and patients with chronic diseases. It is a highly inflammatory food that can cause cumulative health damage.
