Urologists often avoid prostate fluid cultures and usually settle for detecting antibodies to known pathogens. It is important to emphasize that negative test results do not rule out the possibility that you have chronic prostatitis, which has not been identified correctly—knowing that a negative urine culture and not even ESP blood sedation or a regular CRP test does not rule out the possibility of chronic prostatitis. A large number of pathogens are capable of causing infections in the prostate, and it is often challenging to discover the pathogen, especially when several pathogens are involved, as is often the case.
