Indian chapati bread is very dense. It can be healthy if it is puffed using natural sourdough, and the flours are wholemeal low-gluten flours, with no significant component of white flour. India is a vast country with many versions of chapati bread. To the best of my knowledge, the typical recipes for chapati bread are made from white flour and artificial yeast, which are not good for maintaining balanced gut flora and are often highly inflammatory.
