Most medications for CKD patients are harmful for prolonged use. It is highly advisable to check and reduce your medication intake.

Patients with chronic kidney disease often suffer from high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels in the blood, and they take medications regularly that only perpetuate their disease!

Medications in cases of CKD are only meant to relieve the symptoms. They cannot cure the disease, as they are not designed to treat its causes, which is the immune system's weakness. Medications have side effects and lasting damage, but most of us fear disobeying the doctor's instructions and thus perpetuating the disease! Take responsibility for yourself and try a period without medication or certain medications. Doctors have a tendency (and incentives) for you to continue taking medication!
