There is no solid explanation for the origin of viruses. Natural selection does not apply to viruses! Theories exist, but none are rational!

In this blog, I propose a radically different view of the origin of viruses and the purpose for which they were created. Indeed, open-mindedness is required. Viruses are a marvel of highly sophisticated genetic engineering. Suppose you look closely at this incredible sophistication. In that case, you find it hard to believe that viruses result from random processes, especially considering that the principles of natural selection do not apply to viruses but only to their host offspring when the changes serve better survival traits. The origin of viruses is obscure, although there are several theories, none convincing! The fact that the human genome contains between 8% and 10% genetic sequencing from viruses only illustrates viruses' dramatic impact on humans and probably on the flora and fauna of Earth.

Viruses mutate, but this is an entropy mechanism and cannot be attributed to natural selection, a biological process that applies only to organisms. Genetic engineering using viruses requires absolute precision, sophistication, and familiarity with the genome of flora and fauna on Earth. Therefore, it is clear that extraterrestrials have a supreme scientific and technological level, the result of prolonged research on Earth.
