Why low levels of vitamin B12 is a widespread phenomenon among chronic liver patients?

I regularly needed B12 injections during the long years of treatments. Their effectiveness is several times higher than B12 pills.

Vitamin B12 is stored in the liver; in patients with chronic liver disease, the absorption of B12 and storage are impaired. (Even if the food contains B12) Low vitamin B12 impairs immune function, nervous system activity, and acute fatigue. The best option that ensures good absorption is B12 injections (Cheap)
