Discussion: Although I am a foreigner in China, I feel comfortable. Besides smoking in public places, which bothers me, I have adapted very well to Chinese culture.

After more than 16 years of intermittent stay in China for extended periods and having married a charming and beautiful Chinese woman, I can say that I know many sides of Chinese culture that I respect and appreciate. Smoking in China is a widespread phenomenon; there is no ban on smoking in public places, which I disturb, but this is a minor detail. I liked Chinese food, to begin with, it suits me very well and tastes especially good.
