The subconscious is a "virtual safe" in which various memories, some of them traumatic, are stored. Because of the critical role of the subconscious as a defense mechanism, access to it is blocked. Without full cooperation and consent, it is impossible to hypnotize a person and penetrate their subconscious. For an analogy, a password is needed to penetrate the human Holy of Holies. In the subconscious, each one's most hidden secrets reside. (Sometimes also things we are not aware of)
