Discussion: A new suggested unequivocal liver function test of daily bile production and flow.

In the absence of a precise monovalent measure of liver function, it is advisable to produce a new type of examination that will check the volume of production of bile fluid and the amount of bile fluid that penetrates the intestine through the duodenum. The test will give a reliable and precise measure of liver function.

An MRI examination is capable of deciphering movement. However, a prolonged test is required while taking oils to measure the penetration of bile fluid through the duodenum into the intestine. The difficulty is not technological but mainly because of the high costs of an MRI examination. A dedicated device may be much cheaper and can be operated for extended periods at a reasonable price.
