Discussion: Will the institution of marriage willdisappear within a few decades?

I estimate that the social and economic need to institutionalize relationships will not change soon. The ceremonies may change, and the system of laws undergoes changes, but the institution of marriage is an existing necessity that will not change. Among monogamous animals, there is a relatively long-term relationship even without the economic or social aspect. Marriage is an ancient institution, and it exists even among isolated tribes. Marriage stems from a need to establish relationships.
