I am a 60-year-old diabetes patient. Recently, the attending dietician recommended I completely stop consuming carbs and starches. My condition has not improved, and I do not feel full after eating.

Free sugars (not natural in fruits and vegetables) are not recommended and should be avoided (cakes, cookies, biscuits, and pastries of all kinds); however, it is challenging to feel full without starches. The substitute is usually proteins, mostly from animals, which are also unsuitable for people with diabetes because they strain the liver and kidneys. The essential component of a diabetic's diet is avoiding processed and industrialized foods altogether, but this is a significant portion of our food. Since these are pretty detailed explanations, I recommend reviewing the article in the attached link. It is highly recommended that you consult a qualified naturopath who will put together a diet, detoxification, and schedule that is right for you and will allow you to recover naturally from the disease.
