Discussion: Assuming there are advanced extraterrestrials, are they likely to have human emotions?

Scientists have a consensus (quite strange) about extraterrestrials, claiming that they have no sex and reproduce asexually. This conclusion has far-reaching significance for the structure of personality and emotions, the family unit, childrearing, concern for older people, and the fabric of social life. According to our perception, negative emotions (such as jealousy, hate, and revenge) serve our survival. According to human perception, if extraterrestrials do not face survival issues and have unlimited resources, they may need an ethical code that is not necessarily emotional.
