Why do severe diabetics often develop necrotic wounds in the legs?

Diabetes is a disease in which the cells in the body are "sealed" and poisoned and do not receive a regular supply of nutrients and energy; They do not perform proper metabolism. Without energy, cells (mitochondria) cannot survive and regenerate over time. The cells, therefore, die gradually, creating ulcers and necrosis, which sometimes require amputation to survive. The feet are the most sensitive place, as the blood supply to the feet is usually impaired first.
