It is impossible to prove that we live in a computer simulation from our current system. The question is very similar to the halting problem posed by Alan Turing at the time. The conclusion is that this question can not have an equivocal answer due to logical limitations.
To prove unequivocally that we live in a simulation, one of two things must happen:
1 Intelligent alien civilization will appear on Earth and show us convincing arguments that we live in a simulation. (Extremely unlikely)
2. We will crack the riddle of the universe, and we will be able to find the simulation formulas at a level where we can predict events with probabilities that do not leave a doubt of randomness. (Impossible)
Currently, neither option looks plausible, although I believe an encounter with aliens is getting closer.
