Benign prostate enlargement is a widespread phenomenon among men aged 50 and over. The phenomenon is caused by inflammatory processes that divert the flow of the hormone testosterone to the prostate instead of to the bloodstream. The routine treatment of receptor blockers does not solve the problem in the long term but only burdens the variety of medications that chronic heart patients receive. I recommend switching to an anti-inflammatory diet, which is described in detail in the article at the attached link. An anti-inflammatory diet may even improve heart conditions, especially with lifestyle changes.
