Nuts are a natural and very healthy food. Although their fat content is relatively high, they contain essential nutrients. Walnuts contain omega-6 fatty acids (unsaturated), essential minerals, and fiber. Moderate consumption of nuts does not cause weight gain. Brazil nuts are an ideal source of selenium, which is necessary for the thyroid gland to function adequately.
