Does shift work harm health?

The pineal gland that controls the sleep cycle is also the ruler of the subconscious mind. Sleep disturbances and discontinuous sleep can cause health damage, especially when it is an ongoing condition. Many roles and professions require work in shifts, including at night. The main danger is the disruption of the biological clock. Evidence shows that the body can adapt to changes in the biological clock. Still, it requires stronger-than-usual discipline, perseverance, a healthy lifestyle, and sleep in the dark.
