Is modern medicine capable of curing any chronic (non-hereditary) disease?

Surprisingly, modern medicine has impressive achievements, except that they are all at the technological level, where there has indeed been tremendous progress. Modern medicine fails to completely cure chronic inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases, cancer, addictions, and mental illnesses. The explanation for this is quite simple: modern medicine does not treat the causes of the diseases, but only their symptoms. No progress will be achieved without a statistical analysis of a complex set of causes of body and mental illness. Medicines cannot heal on their own! Healing comes from the body and mind concurrently.
