I have seen a program of mice and humans that eat very little, live much longer. I'm pretty fat, from a family of fat people who all lived to extreme old age.

The life expectancy of people increases as the metabolic load on them decreases. Eating in moderation, especially of easily digestible foods, lowers the metabolic burden. Although it is a significant factor, it is not the only factor. A healthy lifestyle, stress, anxiety, loneliness are equally critical factors.
