How many times a day should you eat? Small and multiple meals, or large and few meals?

The answer is suitable for everyone and not only for patients with chronic heart diseases. It is different from the concept of small meals at short intervals that existed in the past. As a principle, eating food that is easy to digest and relatively soft is always advisable.

It is advisable to eat two main meals a day plus a light meal or snacks (for those who need it). Dinner should be easy to digest and early, maximum up to 7 in the evening, because most tissue regeneration occurs during sleep. The digestive system needs constant rehabilitation, so prolonged breaks between meals are preferable to continuous eating.
