Eating fruits does not cause diabetes. Diabetes combined with heart disease is particularly devastating. (The unique Chinese case)

Fruits are not the cause of diabetes! Diabetes is not only related to consuming sugars but mainly to industrialized and processed foods with an unhealthy, mentally stressed lifestyle. I recommend reading the article in the attached link describing how China became a diabetic-stricken country in 40 years without eating much sugar.

Fruits are an excellent and vital source of fiber, many nutrients, enzymes, and antioxidants; they also give a sense of satiety, so it is essential to consume them. However, the glycemic index of fruits is relatively high, so eating fruits should come with accompanying guidelines: Processed fruits, processed food, and prepared meals with fruit are not recommended.

When fruit is part of a meal, it is essential to put together a balanced menu for the whole meal. Fruits can create intestines' acidity, so it is desirable to balance the acidity by drinking lemon juice during the meal. (Not sweetened) Combining fruit with green vegetables can moderate the acidic effect of fruits. Fruits are always better than sugar-rich desserts like cakes. You can eat a single fruit as a snack. (Not more than 2-3 per day) Grapes and watermelon mainly contain glucose sugar (as opposed to other fructose-containing fruits), so their consumption should be moderate.
