Gallbladder - a small organ that can cause serious health problems, affecting CKD patients.

In patients with chronic kidney diseases, the liver is overloaded and is often damaged over time. The gallbladder tends to become clogged and inflamed significantly when bile fluid production decreases. Women have an increased tendency to gallbladder inflammation, mainly due to hormonal fluctuations. Renewing the production and flow of bile fluid helps kidney and liver function.

The gallbladder stores the bile and releases it for the duodenum when needed, mainly to digest and emulsify fatty foods. Blockage of the gallbladder violates the acid-base balance in the gut and affects the entire immune system. The most common symptoms are constipation, flatulence, nail or vaginal fungus, (in women) headaches, sinusitis, cough, and general weakness due to a load on the immune system. In acute situations, inflammation of the gallbladder causes sharp pain.
