Is it advisable to use calculators that estimate the recommended daily calorie intake in diabetes patients?

The disadvantage of calculators is that they do not teach proper nutrition but give a ready-made recipe, which is sometimes inaccurate and may even mislead, especially for people with diabetes. Calculators online provide an estimate of the recommended daily caloric intake. Calculators consider weight, height, age, and gender. It is essential to know that the numerical result is no more than a "Rule of thumb" because not all calories are the same. Significant differences exist in whether the food is processed, industrialized, or fresh. The hours we eat have additional meaning. At night, the calories are worth more!
