I come to the hospital often. I always see doctors with the stethoscope lying on their shoulders and wrapping their necks. I do not understand why?

Even in movies, doctors wrap the stethoscope around their necks, contributing to the doctors' sense of status.

There are departments where a stethoscope is used more frequently, especially in departments related to the heart, lungs, and blood vessels. Doctors who wrap the stethoscope around their necks (I did not examine the subject in depth) are similar to pilots who wear flight wings on the uniform - a status symbol! The doctor's gown usually has a large pocket that the stethoscope can fit in quite easily.
