We tend to turn to psychologists to deal with bothersome problems. The challenging issues that cause illness and addictions are subconscious, which psychologists can often not penetrate using standard techniques.

Psychological treatments tend to be prolonged. Routine psychological treatment is often unable to penetrate the subconscious. Access to the subconscious is intentionally locked. The paradox is that what harms our health is stored in the subconscious. Meditation, hypnosis, and self-psychoanalysis are the techniques that allow penetration into the consciousness, which are less applied in the West.
