Why is it essential to emphasize the close relationship between kidney and liver functions in chronic digestive tract patients?

High blood pressure and high cholesterol in the blood are results of the weakening of the liver and kidneys. The liver is a critical part of the digestive system. Chronic patients in the digestive system have ongoing damage to the liver, which puts a lot of strain on the kidneys. (The kidneys try to compensate for the decrease in liver function.)
