Discussion: Does Biological Cancer Treatment Mean I Strengthen My Immune System?

To the best of my knowledge and understanding (I am not a doctor), existing biological therapies aim to destroy cancerous tumors while directly minimizing damage to other tissues. Their mechanism of action is not designed to strengthen the immune system. At the same time, biological treatments reduce the damage compared to other medicines that can damage healthy tissues. (Overall, they are less harmful!) Biological therapy can be compared by analogy to a guided, exact missile that hits the target while causing relatively limited environmental damage. This is also the explanation for the high cost of biological treatments.
