The loss you experience is "grief" in the psychic sense. It is a natural and legitimate condition that many cancer patients go through. You may be encouraged that perfection does not exist in anyone. I recommend that you get acquainted with the grief model of Kubler Ross, which aims to reach the acceptance stage (the last of the five stages). It is very worthwhile to draw encouragement from other women who have had a similar experience to yours and have recovered, preferably through support groups. Your husband's support and love are critical to physical and mental recovery. It is essential to cherish, thank, and return the love.

The five stages are Denial, Anger, Bargaining (Only applicable in life-threatening situations), Depression, and Acceptance.
