Discussion: I have chronic non-bacterial prostatitis. Am I a (mental) psychosomatic chronic prostatitis patient?

The fact that no known disease-causing pathogens have been identified does not rule out the possibility of parasites and viruses capable of infecting the prostate. Tests of antibodies (rarely prostate fluid cultures) often do not reveal the complete picture. The symptoms of chronic non-bacterial prostatitis usually indicate an unidentified pathogen. (One or more) These are not psychiatric symptoms! Simply a preliminary diagnosis. Detection of the pathogen is not critical. A robust immune system can eliminate any invader.
