Drugs (such as metronidazole) are antifungal and anti-parasitic that are very characteristic of patients with chronic prostatitis. They are very toxic to the liver and not recommended for prolonged use.

Patients with chronic prostatitis often receive drugs from the metronidazole family because the drug effectively eliminates pathogenic parasites. But from the moment the medication is stopped, the parasites thrive again!

Treating drugs from the metronidazole family (a large group of drugs under different names) for prolonged periods is not recommended in chronic prostatitis patients, as it is very toxic to the liver. Without proper liver function, there is insufficient bile fluid production to lubricate the gut. Over time, the treatment is more harmful than beneficial!
