Is there a mechanism of self-destruction in the human body?

Humans and animals are built for survival, even in the harshest conditions. There is no mechanism of self-destruction in the human body. Autoimmune diseases, or Cancer, can cause death, not from self-destruction, but from a "malfunction" of the immune system, which operates in conditions that do not allow regular functioning. Suicide is a voluntary event of self-destruction, but its motive is defensive! People who committed suicide suffered (mental and physical suffering) that caused them to end their lives. Paradoxically, suicide is a defense mechanism. Unlike the body, which does not have a self-destructive mechanism, the mind has a self-destructive mechanism, which also usually stems from self-defense.
