Discussion: It is surprising to discover that, despite cultural differences, the fraught marital issues in China are almost identical to those in the West.

When I hear the gossip in China, I joke with my wife that the same stories could have been written in Israel and the West. Conflicts over family, finances, jealousy, children, and infidelity sound universal. People exhibit the same emotions and behaviors wherever they are, regardless of religion, culture, country, race, or skin color.
