Natural pineapple has a high sugar content but a relatively low caloric value. (Contains about 50 calories per 100 grams.) Pineapple is rich in vitamins C and B. Minerals, potent antioxidants, electrolytes, and bromelain enzyme that helps digest proteins. Not surprisingly, pineapple blends well with meat dishes. Natural pineapple is highly recommended for eating, including in cancer patients. (In a reasonable dose)
