The story of my life seems like an entirely imaginary story. A Westerner who comes to China discovers he has terminal liver cirrhosis, treats himself for 15 years, and recovers thanks to the love of a lovely Chinese woman he marries. Seemingly, everything seems random! I think what happened to me was determined long before I got sick. I knew I would get ill and recover for a long time, but I had no idea this was a crazy 15-year war for survival.
