Patients with chronic liver disease with symptoms of chronic inflammations may be beyond the point of no return of spontaneous liver rehabilitation.

Chronic infections in patients with chronic liver disease may indicate a condition of impaired liver function, which practically means that the liver probably crossed the point of no return in terms of passive rehabilitation. My attending physician never drew my attention to this point, which has far-reaching implications.
