The issues of righteous and evil to him, wicked and good to him, have existed since biblical times! The question of reward and punishment exists in most patients in life-threatening situations (similar questions have arisen in me). The thought that God punishes us is a thought that places the responsibility for our illness on an unknown factor - in this case, God. If we accept the axiom that there is nothing random in our body, then the cause of the diseases is us ourselves, but of course, not consciously. God (at least this is mine) is merciful and gracious and does not punish anyone.
