I have psoriasis and was advised not to be exposed to direct sun. Is this recommendation correct?

Uncontrolled exposure to the sun is not recommended for anyone. Thousands of patients with psoriasis and other skin diseases come to the Dead Sea (the lowest place on earth) every year for sunbaths, mud, and salts. The sun has unique healing properties. Vitamin D3 (formed in contact with the direct sun) is critical for the immune system. Controlled exposure to the sun (including the inflamed parts) is desirable for psoriasis patients. (It is important not to expose the face, neck, and nape skin.) It is essential to emphasize that skin cancer is not caused by sun exposure!
