Is there justification and a need for the supervision and regulation of the entire branch of alternative medicine?

The public good requires regulating and supervising the entire branch of alternative medicine. The lack of supervision and control is due to several barriers that are not related to the public good, and among them are:

1 Regulation of the alternative medicine industry requires legislation. Wise politicians often avoid controversial issues.
2 There are about 100 methods of diagnosis and treatment in alternative medicine. It is not clear at this time what is included in alternative medicine. (No binding, clear definitions)
3 The regulation of the alternative medicine industry presents legitimacy and recognition that they have enormous economic significance!
4 Existing regulators have tremendous power; every new regulator reduces their capacity!
