Almost all of us (except asexuals) know the sex we are attracted to without asking questions. Determination of sexual identity and sexual orientation is made according to all indicators, well before sexual maturity, so, likely, this is not hormonal signaling; since both sexual identity and sexual orientation are energetic phenomena, the premise that our pineal gland in the center of the brain involuntarily deciphers our sexual identity and sexual orientation, as well as being able to discern (from short distances) the sexual orientation of our potential sex partner.
