On a methodological level, alcohol withdrawal requires releasing unresolved traumas, and I doubt how much dopamine therapy alone can lead to alcohol withdrawal. I recommend you get a comprehensive explanation of the method, including talking to people who have weaned.
Dopamine is both a hormone and a neurotransmitter. Changes in dopamine levels in the brain affect several disorders and mental illnesses. However, the effect of addictions as a form of treatment is unfamiliar to me. I believe drugs can disrupt the balance and re-feeding of dopamine and other neurotransmitters such as serotonin. I always prefer natural diets aimed at balancing dopamine and serotonin levels. (The diet is almost identical in both cases) without any side effects.
