Discussion: The treatment of CKD patients is usually based on drug therapy; paradoxically it perpetuates the disease. It is mainly intended to alleviate the symptoms of the disease as it cannot eliminate its causes.

Chronic kidney disease is a prevalent disease, even among relatively young people. Severe economic crises, particularly the one the world has experienced in the Corona plague crisis, are expected to increase the number of patients with chronic kidney disease significantly. This is a familiar and well-known paradox, originating in the absence of a philosophy of medical science. Without a philosophy of medical science, there is no compass. The medical establishment mainly serves the primary pharmaceutical, medical equipment, and food companies. Changing paradigms requires a different way of thinking, which is not currently in sight.
