Following severe neuropathy, I received from a neurologist a drug treatment with a drug called Gabapentin which is usually prescribed for patients suffering from epileptic seizures.

The doctor specializing in neurology claimed that my symptoms were "unusual" for patients with chronic liver diseases and more typical for patients with diabetes. She was quick, asked very few questions, and all she had to offer was medicine, which did not help! Gabapentin does not allow driving or leading an everyday life. I stopped taking the pills after a few days.
